Fantastic Fete - A Feast of Flavors

The Fantastic Fete by Street Food Circus is a celebration of incredible street food, live entertainment, and community vibes, and this year's event did not disappoint. Among the many highlights were the standout offerings from Packed Sandwiches, Fire & Flank, and Sin Nombre Tacos — each bringing their own delicious twist to the vibrant street food scene.

Starting with Packed Sandwiches, this stall elevates the humble sandwich to an art form. Bursting with flavor and creativity, their fillings are anything but ordinary. We had one of their signature Italian Beef Subs. Thinly sliced braised beef is packed into a bread roll and topped with a traditional giardiniera, a spicy Italian vegetable pickle. It’s served with as much gravy as you can handle - the whole sandwich can be dunked if you’re brave enough!

Next up, Fire & Flank brought the heat with their expertly grilled meats. Their signature flank steak is a thing of beauty—marinated to perfection and cooked over open flames, resulting in a smoky, juicy cut of meat that’s full of flavor. Served with chimichurri, this dish is simple yet masterfully executed. For those who crave a bit more indulgence, the flank steak sandwich was a huge hit, packed with caramelized onions, sharp cheddar, and a touch of aioli in a soft, toasted roll. The balance of smoky, savory, and slightly sweet made it one of the most memorable bites of the day.

Finally, Sin Nombre Tacos delivered an explosion of Mexican flavors with their inventive taco combinations. The pulled pork taco, slow-cooked and topped with fresh salsa verde, cilantro, and pickled red onions, was a perfect mix of tender meat and vibrant, tangy toppings. For a spicier kick, their chipotle chicken taco did not disappoint, with smoky chipotle heat balanced by cooling avocado crema and crunchy slaw. Each taco was a handheld flavor bomb, proving that simple, fresh ingredients can come together to create something extraordinary.

Overall, the Fantastic Fete was an unforgettable experience for food lovers. The variety of food vendors, each showcasing their passion for bold, inventive flavors, made it an event that celebrated the best of street food culture. Whether you’re a fan of classic sandwiches, flame-grilled meats, or authentic tacos, this fete had something for every palate.
